September 2011: After many years hidden under a layer of gold paint, the real GT40P/1040 has at last been restored to its former glory, in the livery it wore at Le Mans 1966.  The work has been done to the extremely high standards we have come to expect from Racingicons.com,  and the car looks exactly as it did at the start of its Le Mans outing, the attention to detail being truly staggering.  Filipinetti’s GT40s were always immaculately turned out, and this gorgeous car now looks exactly as it did in its heyday - simply beautiful.
