Superformance racer now available for sale
Road America’s Kohler International Challenge saw the first public appearance of a production example of the GT40-R, the race-ready version of the Superformance GT40, a dedicated race-car, the prototype for which we have previously covered on this site.
Already the car has obtained approval for participation in US vintage racing events, so at last there is an off-the-shelf GT40 vintage-racer which allows the buyer to turn up and race competitively without having to risk a multi-million dollar original 1960s GT40.
