GT40s at the Le Mans Classic
July 9-11 2010:
Ah, Le Mans! It was my first time back there since 1991, and what could have been a better welcome than a host of GT40s? Ten on the track, plus one in the concours d’elegance! Formidable!
Our thanks for media access and for help at the circuit go to Audrey Zachayus and the event staff of Peter & Associés and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest. It was hot and sunny all weekend, and a huge crowd - estimated at 100,000 - enjoyed themselves watching almost 500 participating race cars plus hundreds, if not thousands, of other voitures anciennes (including lots of ‘40s) on display.

Claude Nahum brought GT40P/1016 to the party
Jean-Pierre Lecou drove GT40P/1012
1022 was in the hands of Manuel and Diogo Ferrao, from Portugal
Christian Glasel and 1023 won all three heats of the up to 1965 category!
