The Sbarro version of 1040 was shared by Frenchmen Roucolle, Bos and Roux
Yellow and green are the colours of the Brazilian flag, appropriate for 1027’s driver Carlos Monteverde, who co-drove with Britons Gary Pearson and Andrew Smith.

Doors which open unexpectedly are a not uncommon feature of GT40s, as  Pierre-Alain France found out with 1073.
Besides the GT40s there were, of course, lots of other fine racing cars, club gatherings, tons of shops, many eateries, and of course the champagne bar, which in the heat of a July weekend provided most welcome refreshment!
